Intensive Therapy.
Intensive Therapy for Individuals and Couples.
Intensive Therapy
No 2024 openings.
There is an Intensive Therapy Waitlist; however, this waitlist is extensive enough that signing up now means that you will likely be contacted closer to the end of 2025, possibly early 2026 to schedule your Intensive with Jules. If that doesn’t feel like too long of a wait, please sign up for the Intensive Waitlist below.
Individual Intensive
After working for some years in more long-term traditional therapy, Jules started to work with people in a more short-term, Intensive format. The response that she received with this format was overwhelmingly positive.
The Intensive model is different because you focus on shifts you want to make in one or two major areas of your life. For example, some people have come in wanting to not yell at their kids anymore, some have come in wanting to learn self-compassion, wanting to set boundaries at work, and some come in wanting to have connection with others after having spent a ton of time closed off.
You will spend your first two hour session getting clear on what you want to shift in your Intensive, and discovering what inner subconscious structures may be holding the behavior or feeling state in place. If you've been in therapy before, you might have noticed that about 20-30 minutes of your weekly therapy is usually taken up with reconnecting with your therapist and catching them up on everything that has been happening up to now. With the Intensive format, no time is spent doing that because the sessions are longer and spaced closely together. When you do the math, 20 hours of therapy in an Intensive is equal to about 40 regular hours of therapy. That's 10 months of therapy in just a few weeks.
The first part of the Intensive is...well, intense. You will work in 2-3 hour sessions for 14 hours, and complete that work in about 7-15 days. Then, follow up sessions will happen for the next few weeks until you complete the 20 hour Intensive.
Each person is different, so she tailors the work to your needs, but your Intensive sessions will likely include much of the following:
Learn new skills
Psychoeducation on the brain
Trauma Recovery Work
Identify one or more core problematic patterns
Practices that will interrupt that pattern
Practices that will create new healthy patterns
Create a plan to move forward in health
Individual Intensive FAQ
How many people will take part in the Intensive?
Only one, this is a space for your healing.
Will the work happen in person or online?
Jules offers online and in person sessions. When it gets close to your Intensive, she will be in contact with you to talk about doing online, in-person sessions, or a mix, whatever works best for you.
Is it likely that this will change things that deeply?
That depends on many factors. Memory reconsolidation works deeply and permanently if practices are also part of the picture. If you get a good unlocking of an old, long term potentiation pattern in your brain, and you do the practices that you will co-create to support the shift, you will see permanent change. The people who have reported back to Jules after working in this way, have reported permanent significant shifting.
I don’t feel like a lot is wrong in my life, I just want to grow. Will an Intensive still be helpful?
Many people come to Jules because they want to have a way of living more authentically and more whole heartedly. No matter the state you are in, this type of work is likely to help.
How much does it cost?
The Intensive is priced at $10,000 total with a deposit of $1,000. The deposit will count towards the total cost.
How does the payment work?
The Intensive is $10,000 total. The deposit is part of this fee. Once the Intensive begins, you will be charged the rest of the $9,000. You can pay as you go by putting a credit card into the system, or if you prefer to pay in advance, you can mail a check to:
Juliane Shore, 4903 Woodrow Ave. Austin, TX, 78756
How can I schedule my Intensive?
All 2024 Intensives are sold out. Fill out the Intensive Waitlist form. Once you submit the form, you will be added to the Intensive Waitlist.
Can I sign up for only one or two sessions instead?
No, the Intensives are 20 hours total and are a package, so the whole 20 hours is included in the total price.
How do I know which Intensive would be right for me, the Individual or the Couples Intensive?
If you are on the fence about which Intensive would be right for you, feel free to put yourself down for both. When your name comes up to grab an Intensive spot, we can talk about which Intensive will be the best fit for you. People who have already done an Intensive with me, get the opportunity to do more Intensive work in the future, so if you want to do both that is an option.
Once I do an Intensive, can I start weekly therapy with you?
No, Jules is not available to take on any regular clients at this time. She will help with referrals if she determines that ongoing therapy will be a good fit for you. You may schedule an additional Intensive if you’d like.
Is there anything I can do to prepare for the Intensive?
Yes, reading the book Mindsight by Dan Siegel will help you understand Interpersonal Neurobiology.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel two months or more prior to your Intensive, you can receive a full refund of your deposit minus a $100 admin fee. If you need to cancel closer to your Intensive date, you will not receive a refund of your deposit, but you can look at the calendar and choose a different Intensive date. A credit card must be kept on file three weeks prior to your Intensive if you are paying as you go. If you are paying via check, please send the check at least three weeks prior to your Intensive. If you would like to shift from an Individual Intensive to a Couples Intensive, that is also welcome.
Please feel free to reach out to Jules if you have a question about Intensive Therapy and don’t see your question here.
Couples Intensive
For a lot of couples, the pain that they are wanting to heal from and the growth they are hoping for feels too great and too urgent to slowly work through over months or even years. That is exactly why Jules decided to create her Intensive model.
She uses Relational Life Therapy and Interpersonal Neurobiology as my primary modalities, and interweave these trauma recoveries (she is trained in many forms of trauma recovery) to work with her couples to heal the heart of the problem, so that each partner can find the most authentic version of themselves and bring that self into relationship with skill and health.
If you have been in therapy before, you might have noticed that about 20-30 minutes of your weekly therapy is taken up with reconnecting with your therapist and catching them up on everything that has been happening up to now. With the Intensive format, no time is spent doing that because the sessions are long and spaced spaced closely together. So, when you do the math, 20 hours of couples therapy in an Intensive is equal to about 40 regular hours of therapy. That's 10 months of therapy in just a few weeks.

Is it likely that this will change things that deeply?
That depends on many factors and what each partner wants in regards to relational health. She can say that if you practice the skills and dive in deep, you and your partner have a great chance at gaining relational health. You may also decide to stay together as you enjoy the benefits of a deeply connected life. If you feel you have questions that you'd like answered that are not covered here, Jules is happy to schedule a 15 minute phone call with you to discuss and answer whatever she can.
Our relationship isn't in trouble, we just want to grow. Will an Intensive still be helpful?
While many couples come to the Intensive when they are in trouble, Jules also works with people who are wanting more depth and more intimacy. No matter the state of your relationship, this type of work is likely to help.
