Public Speaking

Working to build a more kind and courageous world. One talk at a time.

Thank you so much for your interest in my work!

I’ve been speaking and teaching about Interpersonal Neurobiology for over a decade. I’ve spoken in a variety of settings, and run trainings for groups from 5 to 1200. I love doing keynotes, small group work, and multi-day trainings. I also love giving talks to fellow therapists, as well as groups of people who are interested in personal growth.

I’m working to build a kinder and more courageous world.

I believe that kindness, curiosity, compassion, and courage are natural states in humans. When we operate from other states, it’s because we feel we’re in danger. I’m passionate about helping people learn to work with their neurobiology to improve their relationships with themselves, with each other, and with the world. I empower therapists to work with their clients with more curiosity, creativity, and courage. I help people who are on a growth path to turn in with compassion and effectiveness.

When we understand more about how the brain works to move from feeling to behavior, we get clearer on why we do things the way we do them. When we understand how the brain changes, we get clearer on growth and healing, clearer about how to serve our clients, clearer about our purpose, clearer with ourselves about what is really meaningful, and clearer with each other about what we want in our relationships. I’m here to help people move through their roadblocks to that clarity.

Each time I work with someone, we collaborate to make the engagement fit for their community and needs. Each event I speak at is so personalized, it’s impossible to list all of the trainings I have done, but here are some subjects I touch on regularly:

  • boundaries

  • interpersonal neurobiology

  • memory reconsolidation

  • trauma recovery

  • depth work and grief in therapy

  • therapeutic stance

  • using experiential work to accelerate change

  • grief avoidance

If you are looking for a speaker or a training for your organization, I'd be happy to speak with you about whether my voice and thinking would be right for your group.

Let’s connect so we can assess your needs together, and talk about how I might be able to meet them.

Welcome.
